About the Role
We are looking for a motivated finance professional to join our close-knit finance team. Reporting into the
We are based at Park Lane Campus, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station.
There maybe opportunity for the right person to further their career through professional studies.
What You Will Do
- Deliver a professional, customer focussed, responsive and quality service by reacting to and meeting a range of fluctuating pressures and daily demands
- Monitor and process payment files for processing to ensure they are received in a timely manner
- Responsible for accurately processing and reconciling all group income and expenditure including posting to the finance system
- Prepare bank reconciliations for all group bank accounts.
- Support the Senior Finance Officer with regular training and guidance to those involved with cash handling
- Monitor and process cash advances and petty cash, ensuring all receipts and cash are returned within agreed timescales, in accordance with policies and procedures
- Support the training and development of Apprentices working in the team.
- Support and assist the Financial Accountant with day to day tasks
- Will at all times, comply with Luminate Education Group Financial Regulations and Procedures and maintain a pro-active and diligent approach to fraud awareness.
About You
- A recognised qualification at Level 2 or equivalent work experience
- Literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent
- Previous work experience within a finance function
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with customers over the telephone, face to face and in writing
- Familiar with Agresso Business World finance package or a comparable finance ERP system.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office systems and databases (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of working with high volumes of data with a proven record of attention to detail.
- Experience of cash handling and using payment software in a large complex organisation.
- Experience of preparing bank reconciliations.
- Highly organised with the ability to work to demanding deadlines and deliver outcomes in an accurate and timely manner.
