Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you’ll be involved in nurturing and developing the future workforce.

We’re already a successful college, but we’re continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!

In the role of Work Experience Coach, your focus will be to develop students’ work skills, raise career aspirations, and unlock progression opportunities by delivering an engaging and relevant Work Experience programme and linking with employers to provide quality work placements.

You will be working across both our Waterfront and Springfield centres, with travel to other centres as required from time to time. A driving license and access to a car would be beneficial to the role.

Your key responsibilities will be to deliver the Work Experience tutorial framework, secure and plan quality placements to meet the needs of the qualifications, and drive the work preparation Passport Award programme, to meet the needs of your students’ study programmes.

Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of engaging employers, working with young people, and developing employability skills; holding an IAG or teaching qualification would be an advantage (or be willing to work towards them). You’ll have proven experience in training/classroom delivery including the development of individual learning plans, and a track record in driving performance to achieve KPI targets. You will have excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively, build effective working relationships, provide first class customer service and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.

Due to the nature of our work, it’s essential you’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We believe learning is not just for our students: it’s an important part of working here too. Staff development opportunities include a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers. You’ll also have access to a range of staff benefits including an employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts and reduced Metro travel.

We want people who believe in the value of education, and who can contribute to our culture of supporting and challenging one another.
