In the role of ESOL Lecturer you’ll predominantly be based at our Pioneer Higher Skills Centre in Dewsbury with ability to travel to other centres if required.

In the role of ESOL Lecturer you’ll predominantly be based at our Pioneer Higher Skills Centre in Dewsbury. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding teaching learning and assessment for our ESOL learners. We would especially like to hear form individuals with a DELTA or equivalent qualification who can lead on a range of programmes and support new CELTA trainees.

We are looking to appoint a creative and inspiring tutor to join our ambitious and dedicated team. As a Lecturer in ESOL you may teach on a range of courses in the department from pre entry to Level 2. We particularly would like to gain interest from those who have a passion to deliver L1 and 2. You will have a good understanding of the ESOL curriculum and be experienced in using appropriate teaching strategies to support learning and development. You will be responsible for groups of learners, their success and progression and have a passion to improve the lives and opportunities within the College community. We are looking for someone who is flexible, dedicated, keen to upskill, committed to reflective continuous improvement and a good team player who is willing to bring and share new ideas and support the department on their journey to outstanding. You must have recent experience in teaching within a further education organisation. Experience delivering online and confidence delivering digital skills and basic maths would be advantageous.

Ideally, you’ll have a Level 5 teaching qualification or CELTA and demonstrable experience in teaching Adults. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively and be proactive, have a high level of motivation and organisation skills, and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
