Temp Part-time Technician (Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy)

In the role of Technician (Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy) you’ll predominantly be based at Pioneer Centre and your focus will be on providing general assistance to the Hairdressing and Beauty department.

Your key responsibilities will be maintaining salons, laundry and dispensary in a clean and safe manner and completing stock control and stock ordering.

Ideally, you’ll have minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and NVQ II in Hairdressing or NVQ III in Beauty or equivalent (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience of working in a Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy salon environment.

Hours & weeks: 16 hours, 40 weeks during term time. Can be flexible around weekly working pattern.

Temp (to cover Maternity) until 22nd December 2023

Term time only staff who start mid year will have their initial salary payments calculated based on actual weeks worked and the number of pay dates between the beginning of employment and the end of the academic year.
