An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pastoral Department within the Student Experience Directorate at Kirklees College. The role is cross college and flexibility to travel to other college sites is required of the successful candidate.

The overall purpose of the role is to deliver efficient, professional and effective administration duties to the team which supports Care Experienced students at Kirklees College. Duties include attendance reporting, timetable reviews, letter drafting and preparation and coordination of PEP (Personal Education Plan) reviews and LAC (Looked after children) reviews e.g. diarising, room bookings, minute taking, typing letters etc. and dealing promptly with tasks set.

The successful candidate will be able to accurately and efficiently input data, maintain records and provide accurate reports for funding and quality purposes e.g. attendance, retention, achievement and progression data as directed by their line manager.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in administration in a similar environment/industry, or ability to demonstrate level of experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience in customer service as well as meeting deadlines. The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and it is desirable to be educated to Level 3 e.g. BTEC, NVQ, A-Level equivalent. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.

Hours/weeks: 18.5 hours, 38 weeks (term-time plus 2 weeks).
