Finance Assistant

Are you looking to build on your existing skills within a Finance setting? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our supportive and friendly Finance team at the Heart of Yorkshire Education group.

You will provide administrative support for Purchase ordering and processing of payments to suppliers as well as maintaining excellent standard in service delivery.

Your duties will include -

-Ensure the accurate and timely input of purchase order requests and creditor invoices onto a purchase ledger finance system. Ensuring all documents have been authorised in accordance with the financial regulations and payments processed within the agreed contract terms.

-Monitoring and liaising with staff to ensure all income has been collected and expenditure made relating to student educational visits.

-Deal with enquiries from creditors in relation to purchase ledger in a professional manner to ensure supplier relationships are maintained.

We are looking for someone who has - 

-GCSE A*C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths

-Experience of using a computerised Finance System.

-Experience of working within an Accounts Payable Department

You should also be able to demonstrate -

-Good IT skills and confident using MS Office packages, databases, and systems.

-A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

-Excellent customer service skills. 

-The ability to work as part of a team
