Lecturer In Hairdressing 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Hairdressing to join our Hair and Beauty department within Selby college. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your sector knowledge and experience to our students in order to help support them complete their studies and achieve their goals.

As a Lecturer in Hairdressing you will provide outstanding teaching to ensure that all learners within their remit successfully achieve their highest potential within the time planned.

We are looking for a qualified professional, who ideally has experience of working within the Hair and Beauty sector. Experience of teaching Hairdressing at levels 1 - 3 (or other related professional subjects) is essential. You should be passionate about your area of expertise and have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate students.

As a Lecturer and Assessor in Hairdressing you should:

• Hold a degree or equivalent in the Sector or other related professional qualification
• Hold GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
• Have experience of working with learners of all ages, ideally in a teaching capacity
• Have up to date knowledge of the VTCT curriculum
