This post is primarily based at the HUDDERSFIELD or DEWSBURY Centre but required at times to travel to any college location.

We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and adaptable individual to work within the college’s IT Service department. This role is to provide support to business support and curriculum staff throughout the college on key IT systems, hardware and infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in their career with the opportunity to learn and support a range of technologies.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting technical issues.

• Diagnosing and repairing faults.

• Installing and configuring hardware and software.

• Communicating to customers to offer efficient, quality support.

• Providing timely responses and accurate customer feedback.

• Supporting the testing and roll-out of new applications, configuration changes, or technologies

• Creating/updating documentation (How to guides, procedures, etc)

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and relevant HE degree. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
