Lecturer - Outdoor Adventure

Our Land based provision at Shuttleworth College has a great opportunity for a Lecturer of Outdoor Adventure to become a key member of our team.

As a Lecturer with us, you will play a key role in the success of our students through:

• Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels within Outdoor Adventure
• Providing a high-quality learning experience which supports students to achieve success
• Contributing pro-actively to developments in the curriculum and innovative teaching
• Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

Our ideal candidates will have experience of of teaching and assessing on a range relevant programmes and levels, a current knowledge of issues and developments within the Outdoor Education sector, alongside the following qualifications:

• Degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent
• PGCE/Cert Ed qualification or a willingness to achieve
• English and mathematics at Level 2 or equivalent.

Contract Type - Bedford College

• 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
• 45 days per annum (plus public holidays), pro rata for part-time
• Teachers Pension
