Air Service Training (Engineering) Ltd, more commonly referred to as AST, has been providing aeronautical engineering training to the world’s Airlines, Maintenance Organisations and Military formations for over 90 years, in which time it has developed a reputation for innovative, effective and high-quality training strategies to meet industry needs.

AST is EASA Part 147 Approved to offer courses and examinations to meet the requirements of the Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in most sub-categories of the EASA Category A & B group, which includes Piston and Turbine Aeroplanes, Turbine Helicopters and Avionics.

Owing to increasing business in both UK and overseas locations, AST is seeking to recruit experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our instructor team to support the development and delivery of EASA Part 66 Training to the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals. Vacancies exist for Mechanical instructors with aircraft maintenance and aircraft sheet metal working experience.      

Training is normally conducted at Perth although courses are also run at customer and college locations elsewhere in the UK and overseas.  AST also delivers training via a range of Blended and Distance Learning methodologies.

Successful applicants will be responsible for delivery of technical training, both theoretical and practical, review and update of technical training materials, examination invigilation and marking.

Applications are invited from those with requisite experience in an aircraft maintenance or training environment. Instructional experience is desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided.
