CU Coventry is looking to recruit an inspirational individual to the position of Course Leader Foundation in Digital Technologies in Engineering and Digital Technologies curriculum area.

The individual sought will have already demonstrated an outstanding record with regards to academic and administrative skills in a Higher Education environment and will have primary experience in leading courses and line managing other individuals. Course Leaders maintain their currency in respect of the future HE landscape and will have demonstrated innovative
practices with regards to teaching, learning and assessment across courses at all level, as well as contemporary course design to meet changing markets within the curriculum area.

In addition to relevant academic qualifications and experience, we are looking for an individual who is hard working, innovative, flexible, focused and demonstrates a passion for working collegiately and also has focus on continuing development of both self, colleagues and curriculum. Furthermore, the Course Leaders sought should be an outstanding tutor, able to demonstrate a reasonable contemporary knowledge of Digital Technologies, Cloud Computing, Computer Science, with relevant Engineering knowledge within the Computer Engineering field and related practices, skills within these diverse field. This curriculum area is undergoing constant change and adaptions, and it is highly likely that this post holder will
be involved in reviewing the course to ensure its value in the portfolio offered at CU Coventry.

Teaching, curriculum development, attendance and monitoring of students through their course(s); promoting student success and progression through active participation in departmental events; devising relevant workshops and presenting at examination boards are some of the key aspects of this role. In addition, Course Leaders are responsible for managing a small number of staff within the curriculum and also play a vital role in recruitment drive
during clearing, open-day, outreach events, etc.

Within the institution you will work alongside a number of other middle and senior managers promoting the reputation of this area of work, and the institution as a whole. There may also be a requirement for you to participate in teaching or academic development within the CU Group which involves collaboration at centres.
