HRUC is a newly merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College and HCUC (2017 merger of Harrow College and Uxbridge College) in January 2023. As the new group, we will be building on the amazing results of the HCUC Ofsted inspection (February 2022) which judged 5 out of 8 areas to be Outstanding including the Quality of our Education with an overall grade of Good.
Our successful Business section, based at Harrow-on-the-Hill Campus, offers a range of programmes including vocational BTEC programmes in Business, primarily Level 1 – 3, and Finance, AAT and Commercial qualifications.
Reporting to the Head of School, you would provide leadership for a team of Lecturers, manage study programmes, develop provision across the Section and teach across a range of programmes according to your specialism. You would also continue to increase and develop our links with employers, which are integral to successful student work placements, course enrichment and Substantive Industry Placements (SIPs) for the forthcoming T Level courses.
You will need to possess a relevant degree or equivalent level professional qualification and a teaching qualification (PGCE/DET or equivalent), and have at least three years’ successful teaching experience, preferably in Further Education, including leading/supervising others. You will also have some curriculum co-ordination and development experience, a good understanding of quality assurance and experience of improving teaching, learning and assessment.
