The department of Construction & Building Services are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Joinery. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • This role is to support the carpentry/joinery team in the delivery of Level 1 to Level 3 qualifications both workshop and classroom based across Study Programme and Apprenticeship groups.
  • Your main duties will include:
    • Planning and delivery of quality teaching.
    • You will need the ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
    • You must have exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible towards the requirements of different learner needs.

YOUR PROFILE

  • We are looking for a person with a strong carpentry/joinery background with industry experience who may be looking for a change in career.
  • The ideal candidate will need to have relevant carpentry/joinery qualifications with an up to date knowledge of the construction industry.
  • They must be keen to impart their knowledge and make a positive contribution to enhance the learner journey and progression opportunities.
