Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The overall purpose of this post is to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the Motor Vehicle Curriculum, in line with the College’s Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the course/s.

The post holder will also be responsible for co-ordinating the course/s and ensuring that quality improvement strategies are implemented and complied with, along with ensuring the course/s meet the needs of students’/employers’ and local community groups.

Teaching experience in light and/or heavy motor vehicle studies or substantial industrial experience would be an advantage.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C), Level 3 or above in subject area and a Level 5 teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve one within an agreed timescale. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
