Hourly Paid Lecturer in IT/Computing

We are currently in search of enthusiastic and motivated individuals to teach on an hourly paid basis as part of the IT Department. Working as part of the team, you will be required to prepare, deliver and assess both theory and practical sessions, so you will have substantial experience of using initiative, creativity and judgement when delivering activities in an area that fits with the Curriculum.

We ask that you hold a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience, together with a PGCE certificate, or be prepared to obtain this. You should also have knowledge of curriculum delivery for IT FE and HE qualification standards from Level 1 to Level 5, and it would be ideal if you also had an understanding of Welsh Baccalaureate, New & Emerging technologies, Concepts e.g. VR, EV3 Lego Mindstorm and RPi.

We ask that you have a good understanding of core IT topics such as Programming, Networking, Hardware, Cyber Security, Databases, Game Design and project management, with a specialism in one or more of these areas, and be able to relate this to a range of learners with different levels of ability.
