At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent, and welcome applications from all sectors.
Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you’ll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.
We’re already a successful college, but we’re continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story!
In the role of Security Infrastructure Engineer you’ll predominantly be based at Huddersfield Waterfront Centre, with the ability to travel to other sites, and your focus will be on identifying weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure using security logs, network analysis, and observations, and communicating these vulnerabilities and solutions to the Client and Infrastructure Manager.
Your key responsibilities will be ensuring that Infrastructure security provides engineering and sustainment support for critical security systems and services; including Data Protection, Endpoint Detection and Response, Encryption and Security Event Management.
Ideally, you’ll have a Level 3 Qualification in IT (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in a similar environment/industry, preferably within an educational establishment. It’s important that you’re able to analyse, summarise, evaluate and communicate complex data, have the ability to use initiative and innovation in resolving issues, and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
Due to the nature of our work, it’s essential you’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
We believe learning is not just for our students: it’s an important part of working here too. Staff development opportunities include a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers.
