Keighley College are looking for a Lead Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Learner Experience team. This is a part-time, reduced year role - 30 hours per week across 36 weeks per year.
What We Do
We are a dedicated team that is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Learning Support Assistant to inspire and support students with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom.
What You Will Do
- Involved in planning and preparation for high needs learners
- Providing in and out of class support to meet identified needs
- Assist with emergency evacuation plans and practices
- Keeping accurate and timely records
- Involved in learners transport arrangements and personal care/lunch duty
Your Profile
- Educated to L2 in literacy and numeracy
- Qualifications or experience relevant to the post
- Experience of supporting young people with SEND
- Ability to build rapport whilst maintaining professional boundaries
- A strong communicator with a flexible and adaptable approach
