Teacher of High Needs (KC831)

We are looking for candidates to join our exciting, committed and highly motivated Foundation Studies team within out diverse department. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, teaching and supporting learners with high needs to achieve and progress.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess learners including Maths and English
• Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, including Maths and English
• Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
• Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners’ progress for identified modules.
• Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes inline with their EHCP.

Your Experience

• Experience of working with SEND
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess quality teaching across identified modules/units in line with learning outcome and EHCP outcomes
• Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum
• Exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression.
• Exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• IT literate including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
• Experience within Healthcare sector.
