Hours / weeks: Flexible to meet business needs

Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you’ll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others. In the role of Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer – Foundation, your key responsibilities will be teaching a range of courses in the department from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, and providing short- or long-term cover for absent staff while maintaining a high-quality learning experience for students.

You will already have a good understanding of specific learning difficulties, neurodiversity, mental health needs and behavioural issues and how these impact on young people in learning environments. Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of: a relevant qualification at Level 3, a teaching qualification at Level 5 and Maths & English at Level 2. You’ll also have recent, demonstrable experience in SEND teaching and using appropriate teaching strategies to support learning; particularly with hard-to-reach, disaffected young people. It’s important that you’re able to show flexibility and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
