Hospitality & Events Manager

We are looking for a customer focused and engaging individual to join our commercial team. You will play in key role in driving forward the commercial hospitality and events offer at the college.

You will lead on and develop the efficient and effective management of the College’s catering, events and associated accommodation offer within budget while achieving income targets and quality standards. You will oversee the development of new business while maximising income and effectively managing costs. To deliver a coordinated service for a range of clients you will work closely with other college functions to meet our client needs and service a diverse calendar of events throughout the year.

You will have previous experience in a similar role. You will also be a Personal Licence Holder and be prepared to hold a premises licence. You should hold a current food hygiene certificate, hold GCSE Maths and English at grade C or better and a full driving licence. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of generating new business and lasting business relationships to increase revenues across all areas of responsibility. In addition you will be a proficient manager of budgets and an excellent people manager to enable you to drive performance. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be adept at working to deadlines by managing your time effectively. The nature of the role requires a flexible approach to work to enable you to meet the needs of the business.
