We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and adaptable individual to work within the college’s IT Service department. This role is to develop, maintain and support college IT systems including our MIS. You will develop complex reports using a number of different tools, enhance and develop web and other systems and provide support to staff on using these reports and systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in their career with the opportunity to learn and support a range of technologies.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • The maintenance and development of the College MIS
  • The development of reports, gathering data/statistics from the MIS and other key systems in college.
  • To design and implement new Microsoft SQL Server reports.
  • To write Microsoft T-SQL views/queries for use with College Management information systems
  • To design and implement data dashboards
  • Provide Support to Staff
  • Be pro-active in researching and supporting new and emerging IT developments
  • Provide necessary Information to enable accurate maintenance of job recording systems

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and relevant HE degree. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.

Hours/weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Actual salary range: £26,685 per - £28,381 annum
