In the role of Skills Development Coach, you’ll be based our sites across Huddersfield and Dewsbury, and your focus will be on providing dedicated in and out of class support for learners who have not yet achieved a grade four or above in GCSE Maths or English.

Your key responsibilities will be: providing high-quality intervention through one-to-one and small group sessions to help learners achieve and progress; mapping resources to online learning and classroom-based activity; enabling students to overcome individual barriers to and to work on differentiated activities with identified groups; helping learners promote independent learning, build motivation and develop their study and organisational skills. Ideally, you’ll be qualified to Level 3 or above, and you’ll have demonstrable experience in working in a similar role. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and engage with young people. You’ll be expected to demonstrate the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in all areas of your role.
