KS4 Lecturer (Science)

The School of KS4 offers a wide range of opportunities for students to be integrated back into education and to provide learners with organised support in a variety of settings.

You will be a committed and resourceful individual who is passionate, competent and experienced in teaching KS4 learners who often present themselves with potential multi-agencies. You will plan a curriculum offer for learners recruited within the KS4 curriculum area and support with enrolling potential learners. You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

About the role:

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and skilled Lecturer to be responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of a range of course programmes. We are looking for experienced Lecturers who are able to teach Science. You will provide subject specialism and leadership and ensure excellent teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to act flexibly in order to adapt to a frequently changing work environment and priorities. You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring, with demonstrable experience of motivating learners. Demonstrating an aptitude and track record of driving continuous performance improvement, you will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in a specialism.

The ideal candidate will possess all or most of the following:

  • Substantial teaching experience, some of which should be in KS4 delivery
  • Experience of leading a course/tutoring experience
  • Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area/s
  • Good pedagogic practice
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
