Established in 1889, and with our roots stretching back even further, Morley College London is one of the country's oldest and largest specialist providers of adult education. We provide long-term, sustainable and affordable programmes of lifelong learning across three centres – North Kensington, Chelsea and Waterloo – including 16-19 provision at North Kensington and Chelsea.

As one of only nine Specialist Designated Institutions (SDIs) in the UK, we serve more than 17,000 students through a coherent, student-centred course offer, underpinned by our mission to empower individuals and strengthen communities through education in Arts, Culture and Applied Sciences. Following Morley College’s merger with Kensington and Chelsea College in February 2020, the College is reshaping its curriculum and professional service teams to facilitate an ambitious plan for development and growth. About the role 

We are looking for a Head of Student Services who will lead and manage a highly effective Student Services function which includes several Student Services teams including Additional Learning Support, IAG, Admissions, Well-being, Front Line services and more.  

This role reports to the Deputy Principal & Deputy CEO and will have cross-College responsibility for student services across all three centres and satellite sites. In addition, this role is also responsible for the College’s crèches. 

You will be expected to be able to lead the Student Services function in a responsive manner that meets the needs of the students and delivers a high level of customer care. 

You will have up to date knowledge of learning and training provision for adults and an understanding of the barriers faced by adults in accessing education. You will have substantial experience of providing high quality advice and guidance to students (adults and young people) in a college environment as well as experience of successfully managing and developing an IAG service and promoting it. 

An unwavering commitment to providing excellent customer care, along with experience of raising quality standards, is essential for this role.  

To be successful in this role you will need be an experienced manager with excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage resources efficiently, as well as be able to support, develop and manage performance effectively.
