As a member of the Registry and Accounts Receivables this role will:

  • Contribute to and support the role of the Registry and Accounts Receivables (Students Revenue) to deliver quality administrative services and excellent customer care
  • Undertake all of the operational activities of the Registry and Accounts Receivables including the registration of students, payments reconciliation and recording; and all matters relating to student finance/revenue.
  • Have responsibility for monitoring and updating the undergraduate and students` files/records and the student finance record for all academic programmes.

Job Description


Team Specific:

  • Contribute to the effective provision of an efficient customer-focused service in all matters relating to fees, grants, student loans and other financial support enquiries and referring them to relevant colleagues for further assistance/guidance where necessary
  • Provide confidential, sympathetic and helpful financial information and guidance to students as appropriate, together with initial processing of applications, paperwork, etc
  • Keep up to date with changes in student finance and financial support
  • Collection of income, receipting of payments by cheque, credit cards or other methods and reconciliation and recording of fees collected
  • Accurate maintenance of students` financial records on the College`s Student Management System, including data entry for statistical and auditory returns, taking into account the need for accuracy and confidentiality
  • Correspond with students, staff and other external agencies regarding student related financial matters appropriately and efficiently
  • Take responsibility under the direction of the Registrar and Bursar and by liaison with relevant colleagues across the College for the efficient and accurate monitoring and recording of students` fee records and those fee records for professional development programmes [if applicable]
  • Monitor and review the procedures for students with a view to constant service delivery improvement and enhancement of services to customers in conjunction with the Registrar and Bursar
  • Provide first point of call for assistance to students and relevant colleagues who have queries regarding their fees and ensure that regular updates are provided to the HEP Services and SFE on individual student records
  • Maintain and update the annual operating documents on matters relating to all students


  • General duties as required to support the registrar, Bursar, admissions and Programme Administrators to maintain accurate student data
  • Actively take part in the Registry team activities and meetings
  • Support and contribute to admissions and students services to providing accurate student data

  • Production and dissemination of accurate student listings that meet strict time frames

  • Contribution to innovation within the section

Qualifications Required

  • Good standard of HE educational achievement OR equivalent HE intensive experience

Essential Experience

  • Experience of managing, presenting and maintaining complex data
  • Significant experience of working with the public in an environment where good customer care is a guiding principle
  • Experience of liaison with colleagues in various departments and levels across a large scale organisation
  • Experience of working in a student finance related environment


  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Highly numerate
  • Ability to supervise staff
  • Good IT Skills
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel documents
