WHAT WE DO

This role is based within the School of Public Services which is located at our Quarry Hill Campus opposite the bus station in the Centre of Leeds. The team delivers GCSE & FS English to both 16-18 & Adult learners who are enrolled on a Study Programme or a Full time Public Services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the English teacher and Vocational staff to support learners in small groups and in class to help them progress and achieve their English qualification.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role involves creating a good rapport with learners and building good working relationships to support them with their English skills. You will be required to deliver small group sessions focusing on learner's individual areas of development.

You will work closely with the English Teacher and Vocational staff to help engage and support learners in attending sessions so that they progress and meet their targets.

YOUR PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have at least a Grade 4 or equivalent qualification in Maths & English and experience of supporting learners in English. You will have good communication skills and the ability to create a good rapport with learners. Enthusiasm and resilience are important.
