We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Officer to work with Nottingham College on our DANCOP project. This is a 1 year fixed term, part time post working 22.2 hours per week. The salary advertised is therefore pro rata.

DANCOP (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme) is part of the Office for Students (OfS) nationally-funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) which aims to identify and address issues around progression into higher education. In particular, it seeks to undertake in-reach activity in with Nottingham College students living in areas where participation in higher education is low overall and lower than expected given GCSE attainment levels.

Our project officers will co-ordinate the effective operational development and delivery of projects at Nottingham College, as directed by the Project Manager.

You will be experienced in designing educational programmes of activity for young people, ideally focused around raising aspirations to higher education. You will be required to work closely with college staff and DANCOP partners ensuring that we reach our targets in engaging young people. The role also requires the project officer to liaise with third-party providers and plan collaborative activities, programmes and events.

You’ll be a confident presenter, a self-starter, a creative problem solver and you will be motivated by work which aims to inspire young people to achieve their full potential.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, providing clear evidence of how you meet each of the criteria detailed as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process.

For further details on this post that the job description and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact DANCOP Project Manager Liam Perkins via email liam.perkins@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk

Interviews are planned for 29th September 2022.

Nottingham College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks including employer references and an enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
