Gower College Swansea is seeking a part time (0.5) Dance lecturer (maternity cover) to join the College’s dedicated Performing Arts Team (October 2022 - July 2023). Ideally the successful candidate will be a enthusiastic, self-motivated, team worker who is an experienced Dance specialist. You will have the ability to be creative and adaptable across varied levels of delivery and offer a diverse range of dance genres and knowledge in both practical and theoretical settings. The key requirements of the role are to teach, assess and contribute to the co-ordination of the following;

·         The delivery of practical (contemporary style) and theoretical elements of the A Level Dance specification

·         Teaching of Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary

·         Teaching across Vocational L2/L3/L4 courses – both practical and theory.

·         Ability to choreograph work for performance projects and exam based work. 

The ability to also offer Tap Dance is desirable.

Educated to degree level or equivalent in Dance is essential and you will hold or be working towards a PGCE qualification.
