Director of Adult Skills

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week.

A key to our success is the strength of our adult provision and we have created a new and innovative role to lead this for our Group - Director of Adult Skills.

Reporting to the Group Executive Director for External Partnerships & Skills Development (EP&SD), the Director of Adult Skills will lead the growth and development of all adult provision across the Group.  You will work with external stakeholders, partners, and employers to develop provision, whilst ensuring quality improvement measures are embedded that will lead us to outstanding. 

About the role of Director of Adult Skills:

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for effectively and positively leading a culture of strong performance and high engagement and an environment of continuous improvement amongst all colleagues.

Whilst helping to shape a quality adult curriculum offer across all levels, you will develop meaningful programmes and progression routes for all learners, which meet their needs and the needs of the region’s employers.

The Director of Adult Skills will assist the Group Executive Director EP&SD in ensuring the curriculum is current, relevant and fit-for-purpose, through engagement with external partners and stakeholders in West and North Yorkshire and East Riding.

You will also deputise for the Group Executive Director EP&SD as directed and will be expected to work in a flexible, proactive manner to ensure key objectives are achieved.

-Is a strong networker, able to engage effectively with all stakeholders, and with excellent presentation skills
