Laboratory Technician

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our curriculum support team providing expert advice and support to students in our laboratory facilities. You will be the “go to person” in relation to our scientific testing and analysis so if you have a passion for this sort of work you are the person we are looking for!

You will be required to plan and set up a wide range of experiments for a wide range of students across our curriculum provision ranging from A-Level standard up to Masters level. You will also supervise students who are on commercial experience in the laboratory. You will oversee a range of practical experiments including dissection, microscope analyses, veterinary diagnostics, soil and water testing and biochemistry experiments.

You must hold a relevant degree or extensive experience in this type of work. Setting up a range of experiments with an ability to manage a range of equipment and resources is essential. You will enjoy working in a busy and lively environment. You will have a commitment to high standards and promote good health and safety practice. You will complete and comply with risk assessments and be able to influence others to do so too.
