Teacher of Law and Criminology (0.6)

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed teacher of Law and Criminology to join Loughborough Sixth Form College.

The College is experiencing growth and application numbers for Sixth Form are at an all time high.  We are therefore looking for an exceptional individual to join our distinctive educational setting.  

We are currently looking for a 0.6fte but there is a possibility for this to move to full-time dependent on recruitment numbers in September.

You will deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in these subjects:

  • A Level Law (AQA)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Criminology (EDUQAS/WJEC)

You will deliver inspiring and effective teaching, learning and assessment to ensure all students are supported to succeed through the delivery of high quality and challenging learning experiences. Progress will be monitored to ensure target grades are met and all learners exceed aspirational target grades.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering these subjects to Year 12 and Year 13 students and will be expected to make significant contributions to the outcomes of the area.  You will have experience of delivering the AQA Law A Level specification and the ability to deliver the Level 3 Diploma in Criminology.

A relevant degree is essential and applicants must already have a teaching qualification. You will also have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively in a large team.
