An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Officer to join the Leicestershire College Welfare and Development Team. You will be responsible for coordinating the relevant support and advocate for vulnerable students or students that may be at risk of leaving education.

You will act as a keyworker to identified students and contribute to and attend relevant meetings to advocate for students e.g. transition meetings, Personal Education Plans (PEP’s) and Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) reviews.

As well as experience of working with young people with support needs and young people e.g. Looked After Young People, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), Young Carers, Young Parent, ideal candidates will have excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to multi-task; to work as a team whilst also working independently on challenging caseloads and be able to track and monitor the impact of their work for learners.

As an Inclusion Officer, your role includes supporting students to ensure success, monitoring attendance and tracking progress and acting as an advocate for students when required. You will also be a member of the core safeguarding team and assist with training and guidance to college staff and students.
