An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Motor Vehicle Department at the Springfield Centre of Kirklees College. Working alongside the curriculum staff and SEND support staff you will ensure the safe running of the workshops and facilitate small group and individual sessions to students.

The purpose of this rewarding role is to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College’s Quality Improvement Strategy and to ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the courses.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide technical support for the Motor Vehicle Department, though work within others sections of the department including Foundation Learning and Alternative Provision may be required.
To ensure the smooth running of the Motor Vehicle Department, through carrying out tasks associated with maintaining a safe environment, the taking down of student work and preparing materials for lesson delivery. You will also be required to monitor stock levels and order materials and equipment when necessary.
As a learning organisation and as part of our commitment to your continued professional development we may require you to complete an apprenticeship standard or framework that relates to this opportunity. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C)
