An innovative and passionate practitioner with a commitment to the learning environment is required for the position of a tutor for Public Health and Community Studies course at CU Coventry. Acquiring academic knowledge for our students is pivotal to their continued development, not only for success on programmes whilst studying at CU Coventry, but also in the wider context of progression into suitable and relevant employment.

This role has been created to ensure there is a specific focus on programmes in improving the student experience by contributing to the delivery on the courses, relevant, inspiring and thought-provoking approaches. You will work in the Health and Social Care department and be central to creating the best learning environment for our students to embed robust academic practice into assignment production.

You will work collaboratively with Course Leaders and Tutors to ascertain specific delivery approaches required to provide the best experience for students. You will be engaged with personal tutoring, to small groups, and you will participate positively in writing innovative assignments; provide genuinely robust feedback for improvement, and ensure you are maintaining your professional development. You will work in conjunction with Learning Resources teams, especially, the Academic Writing Tutor(s) so that our students are fully enhanced with necessary skills to succeed.

It is essential you hold at least a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification with significant practical work experience in a related discipline. You will have or be willing to achieve a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/ Fellow) accreditation.
