This post is based at the Brunel House centre (Construction) at Kirklees College you may be expected to attend other college sites occasionally:
Hours: 20 hours, 52 weeks
Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
The post holder will be a member of the cross college curriculum administration support team and could be expected to work across all curriculum areas and sites as required. Sometimes the post holder might be expected to provide a reception service in a smaller centre. For the main the successful candidate for this post will have the opportunity to work at our site dealing with construction trades.
The post holder will work as part of the large cross college administration team, as well as working closely with teaching teams and their curriculum managers and Head of Faculty. A job for those who like to do many different tasks throughout the academic year, we support our teachers, and we hope to help our students in gaining their qualifications. We are always busy, and each day brings a variety of jobs to be done, which change throughout the academic year.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C). The ability to speak with at ease to members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
