Learning Support Assistants (Weston House) x3

3 x 32.5 hours per week, term time only posts available

The purpose of this role is to play an active role in supporting Learners at Weston House, a specialist FE provision for young adult learners with disabilities.

You will support students with additional learning needs, in the classroom and in other learning environments, assisting with their physical and emotional well-being and learning support requirements.  This is likely to include providing practical support, personal care, note-taking, reading, prompting/scribing and/or note taking support.  With a relevant Level 2 qualification, you will have experience working with people with additional learning needs/physical disabilities who may require support and assistance to achieve their full potential.  You will have good IT, communication and note-taking skills and be prepared to work flexibly.    The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting learners with Autism, Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties/Sensory Needs/Learning Disabilities/ Physical Disabilities.

Registration as an FE Learning Support worker with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) and all CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) checks need to be in place before the successful candidates can start.
