We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a lecturer within the School of Construction and Forestry on a permanent basis. You will be based at Inverness Campus.
The successful person will contribute to teaching, research and linking with industry for innovation and knowledge transfer in Construction Technology, specifically in Architectural technology. Your research specialism could be in, or related to, for example, sustainable construction, environmental policy, or construction challenges in rural and remote areas.
The post includes delivery Tertiary Education from entry level (SCQF Level 4) to Honours (SCQF Level 10) in Architectural Technology, Built Environment and Civil Engineering. In addition, the position may include research, knowledge exchange, and administrative roles as specified by the Head / Depute Head of School.

- Construction Technology related qualification to at least SCQF Level 11 e.g. Architectural Technology, Architecture, Built Environment, construction.
- Have relevant industrial and research experience in sustainable construction, environmental policy, climate change and energy or civil engineering/construction challenges in rural and remote areas.
You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.
You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.
Please note: the successful post holder will need to pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland prior to commencing employment.
