The posts are based at the Taylor Hill Centre of Kirklees College

Hours: Varied (1 evening but could be more)

The Land-based department at Kirklees College is a high performing section with very good achievement rates. Animal care and dog grooming takes place at the award winning specialist animal care and environmental centre, Taylor Hill. The centre houses over 80+ species and includes aviaries, indoor and outdoor mammal units, reptile unit, aquarium, dog grooming unit and a small area housing livestock.

We are expanding the team in the dog grooming section. The successful person will use their industrial dog grooming experience and knowledge to provide highly effective teaching and management of a class and will also contribute significantly to the curriculum and teaching in the Land-based section.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and L3 dog grooming qualification.
