Technical Theatre Technician

We are seeking a a multi-skilled Theatre Technician to join our Performing arts teaching team at Oldham College. This role involves supporting our technical theatre tutor in classes and the full Performing Arts Department team during performances. You will also take part in classes demonstrating and supporting our Technical Theatre students. The Departments students perform in a variety of venues and you will be asked to support the get in, fit up, running and get out of our productions & events. You should also have strong skills and experience of theatre and working with lighting and sound, rigging and set/prop construction. The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people and be able to show strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering a friendly and professional service and a pro-active approach towards developing your industry skills.

This person will be a key member of the technical team and will provide much needed support for our student productions in many venues across the GM and in our classes back at Oldham College.

Oldham College is a medium sized general further education college, with a turnover of almost £25m.
