We are seeking appoint sessional lecturers who have the flexibility to cover classes at short notice across our established and well recognised SLDD/SEND provision at Stapleford and Basford Hall. This could be from a morning or days and possibly cover over a number of weeks. The successful candidates will have excellent Maths & English skills and be academically qualified to degree level. You should hold relevant Level 5 teaching qualification.

You will be familiar with pre-entry, entry level & level 1 curriculum standards as outlined in the Access for All core curriculum framework and have current experience of teaching students with difficulties and/or disabilities between ages 16 to 24, a clear understanding of the current SEND reforms and preparing for adulthood agenda is desirable. You could be required to cover and deliver across many vocational subject areas and levels including English & Maths.

This position requires excellent differentiated communication skills and the ability to support students with a significant level of learning needs. A flexible, well informed and innovative approach to teaching and learning will be essential. Inc. latest on-line delivery platforms. Flexibility, the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-college team and a willingness to support others is essential.

Our hourly paid lecturers also have 40% admin time for each hour of teaching and 45 days annual leave (pro rata).
