UHI is where learning means more. We’re more than a college and more than a university. From our campuses in Inverness, we offer flexible and supported learning from access level through to PhD, to suit more people, at more levels, for more reasons.
UHI Inverness is a partner of UHI, a diverse and flexible tertiary partnership serving our communities and connected to their needs. Through our network of UHI campuses we’re able to offer our students more opportunities and more specialisms.
UHI Inverness is at the heart of the community. Working closely with businesses and stakeholders, our curriculum and research capacity is designed to meet the ever-evolving needs of industry and support the strengths and ambitions of the region. Through a personalised approach, we help our students discover their right path, providing them with a combination of qualification and job-ready skills to succeed in the workplace. UHI Inverness has locations at Inverness Campus and also the Scottish School of Forestry (Balloch), a growing hub for research, innovation and enterprise set within a 215 acre site.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational individual to join our Personal Development Advisor team. You will have a special responsibility for working within our front facing Student Support Centre team to provide existing students with every aspect of help, support and guidance they may need to be successful in their learning journey as well as assisting members of the public with their enquiries.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact on the lives of our learners and to make a real difference.
The successful candidate will need to understand the variety of challenges individuals may face during their studies, be empathetic to these needs, and have the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of individuals. You must be able to manage a varied and often busy workload with energy and enthusiasm and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the students.
The post holder will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland membership before commencing employment.
Application closing date: Sunday 24th July
Interviews will be held at Inverness Campus on Wednesday 3rd August
