Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering

Hours of work:      18.5 hours per week – This may include evening work.

Salary:      £13,009 - £13,792 per annum (actual salary) (Unqualified)
                  £15,068 - £16,955 per annum (actual salary) (Qualified)

Location:    Wakefield City Campus

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering to join our team, based within our award-winning Gaskells training restaurant, where you will provide outstanding teaching and assessing across levels 1 - 3 within the area of Hospitality and Catering.

As a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering, this will involve the delivery of practical sessions in both kitchens and the restaurant, supported by theory delivery.  The ability to teach all disciplines across pastry and kitchen and larder would be an advantage.

As a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering, you should have:

-C&G 706 1 and 2 or NVQ Professional Cookery L3 or equivalent L3 Diploma in Advanced Cookery

-GCSE A*-C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent

-Assessors’ qualification

-Experience of teaching on hospitality and catering courses

-An up-to-date knowledge of the relevant curriculum relating to catering diplomas
