What We Do:

We are a provision for students within SEND. The learner support team sit within the Foundation Studies team and work together to support the learners to achieve their best and move in their Preparation for Adulthood

What You Will Do:

  • You will be working with the pastoral and teaching team within Foundation Studies
  • You will be based with groups in Foundation Studies
  • You will support the learners with their academic and practical skills and focusing on their classroom sessions
  • You will take the lead from the teacher in which area support is needed

Your Profile:

You will have confidence and be enthusiastic in your support role. Each student needs a differentiated approach to learning and support and you will be able to adapt your work towards that.

  • Proof of right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check

  • Children’s barred list check (we may also check the adult barred list if the role involves working with vulnerable adults)

  • Two professional references 

  • Fitness to work; this is conducted by our Occupational Health Provider

  • Section 128 check for all staff entering management roles

  • Prohibition check for all staff entering teaching related roles

Please Note: All successful applicants who have lived or travelled overseas for three months or more in the past five years will be required to undertake an overseas check as part of the pre-employment checks.
