You will manage an agreed project lifecycle to deliver an ambitious collaborative mental health and wellbeing project which has multiple strands.
Funded by the Welsh Government, this joint project represents a collaborative approach between six further education institutions across the south-east of Wales; Bridgend College (project lead), St David’s Roman Catholic Sixth Form College, Coleg y Cymoedd, The College Merthyr Tydfil, Coleg Gwent and Cardiff and Vale College. A secondment opportunity from one of the six partner colleges will be considered.
Scope and Objectives
The project is built around three strands, each of which has multiple external project partners and stakeholders. The project strands are;
Strand 1 → Building Healthy Relationships
Strand 2 → Becoming a Trauma Informed College
Strand 3 → Self-Help Support
The project aims to raise understanding of the broader determinants of health and wellbeing, promoting strategies and capabilities for self-help and self-regulation. The project recognises the continuum of mental wellbeing and adopts a graduated approach through the identified project strands, in supporting both learners and staff within further education institutions.
To fulfill this role effectively and efficiently, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience (minimum two years) of delivering complex, time bound and multifaceted projects, and the ability to handle and prioritise a portfolio of responsibilities and demonstrate highly effective approaches to delivering outputs. Previous experience of working within a post-16 education environment is desirable.
Location of role: Based at Bridgend College / Hybrid working with travel across south-east Wales. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential to fulfilling the requirements of this role. All mileage expenses will be reimbursed on a monthly claim basis.
