Working closely with Entry-level students, their parents, employers and Foundation School Lecturers, you will prepare and support students for employment opportunities and independent living. The role will involve building and maintaining effective links with employers, providing students with realistic work placements and monitoring and supporting them while at work. You will also lead on the Supported Internship Programme, and will carry out relevant administration and produce reports on student performance within the work place.
You should have experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities, together with good organisational and administrative skills. You will have the ability to build and maintain good relationships with employers, have a good understanding of the skills required for the workplace and be able to prepare learners for employment. You will be required to travel to workplaces off-site, so an ability and willingness to travel in the local area is essential.
