Course Manager / Lecturer in Electrical / Electronic Engineering

We have a great opportunity based at our Bedford campus for a Course Manager / Lecturer in Engineering to become a key member of our Engineering department.

As a Course Manager / Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Being responsible for Fulltime provision
  • Carrying out, preparing, teaching and assessing on a range of Electrical and General Engineering teaching programmes in line with College policies and procedure as directed by the Head of Department.
  • Disseminating updated information and course specifications ensuring that awarding organisation requirements are met i.e. awarding organisation registrations for the main programme, additional, GCSE, functional or basic skills
  • Liaising with the course team and relevant staff to ensure that all students are enrolled and follow a designated study programme which meets current timetabling policy rules including work placement and enhancement.

Our ideal candidates will have ability to teach Electrical/ Electronic and General Engineering and current experience of teaching, assessing or tutoring, alongside the following qualifications:

  • HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline or significant industrial experience
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
