Course Leader for Foundation in Digital Technologies

CU Coventry are looking to recruit an inspirational individual to the position of Course Leader for Foundation in Digital Technologies in Engineering and Digital Technologies curriculum area. The individual sought will have already demonstrated an outstanding record with regards to academic and administrative skills in a Higher Education environment and will have primary experience in leading courses and line managing other individuals. Course Leaders maintain their currency in respect of the future HE landscape and will have demonstrated innovative practices with regards teaching, learning and assessment across foundation and degree courses, as well as contemporary course design to meet changing markets within the curriculum area. In addition, Course Leaders are outstanding tutors, able to demonstrate a contemporary knowledge within the curriculum area.

Teaching, curriculum development, attendance and monitoring of students through their course(s); promoting student success and progression through active participation in departmental events; devising relevant workshops and presenting at examination boards are key aspects of this role. In addition Course leaders are responsible for managing a small number of staff within the curriculum. We are looking for an individual who is hard working, focused and demonstrates a passion for working collegiately and also has focus on continuing development of both self, colleagues and curriculum.

Within the institution you will alongside a number of other middle and senior managers be promoting the reputation of this area of work, and the institution as a whole. There may also be a requirement for you to participate in teaching or academic development within the CU Group which involves collaboration at centres
