We require a new hourly paid tutor ideally with a background in Engineering and Management and Leadership but with strong research methods experience to deliver within the curriculum areas but not limited to the research methods module.
Applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent industrial experience in relevant Engineering, Business and Management discipline(s). Experience of academic research or teaching research methods and supervising student project work would be essential as would possession of a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one). Experience of module management would be desirable.
The successful candidate will ideally possess current digital skills and extensive research knowledge and will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, tutors and academics at all levels, face to face and through blended platforms.
Duties include teaching on and preparing materials for a range of undergraduate and/or professional programmes with a specific focus upon research methods and methodologies. Tutors are sought for courses that run during the day, evenings and/or at weekends through face-to-face and online teaching environments. You will also provide support to senior academics for module delivery and assessment as well as outreach activities and open days.
