Approximately 18 hours per week, up to 12 months (These hours are casual and may be subject to change)

We are on the lookout for an experienced GCSE and Functional Maths teacher who will provide learners with an outstanding teaching and learning experience and who has specialist knowledge and a background in the delivery of both Functional Skills and GCSE programmes of learning.  

We would welcome applications from those keen to join a strong and successful team who have a strong track record in the successful delivery of functional skills and GCSE qualifications and have a passion for engaging young learners in the development of their maths skills.

Your role will be to support the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment in order to enhance the development of maths skills as part of the study programmes offered to 16-18 learners and to learners on apprenticeship programmes.  This will involve working with a diverse range of learners from various curriculum backgrounds, liaising closely with colleagues to share best practice, monitoring student progress, and communicate effectively across the curriculum area.

The successful candidate will have experience as a teaching and learning practitioner, be able to demonstrate good outcomes for learners and will have the ability to be innovative within the curriculum area. They will also be a brilliant communicator, thrive from working as part of a team and will be able to demonstrate their ability to meet quality and business targets.

We’d like you to:

Have experience of teaching maths in further education and ideally also to apprentices

Hold a teaching qualification and maths qualification at level 3 or above
