Teaching Assistant – Kates Hill Academy – Dudley Academies Trust

Temporary Contract x 2

Dudley Academies Trust is looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants at Kates Hill Primary to enable access to learning and to assist a teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.  You will primarily work 1-1 with a child with additional educational needs.

Kates Hill Primary has access to a rich, relevant curriculum which will motivate and prepare pupils for life.  Providing a high quality, holistic education for all, our aim is to nurture aspirations and to provide a learning environment where children can thrive.  The focus on core values through a values based education can be found in everything we do. 

Dudley Academies Trust was formed in September 2017 under the sponsorship of Dudley College of Technology.  Our Trust schools are St James Academy, The Link Academy, Pegasus Academy, Beacon Hill Academy, Blowers Green Primary and Kates Hill Primary.  The Trust when combined with the sponsor, annually supports 8,500 young people aged 4 to 19 years old and employs almost 1,300 staff.

As a Trust we are highly centralised, which means that all of our systems and processes are aligned. Everything we do is developed collaboratively involving many professionals and experts who work together across the Trust, all striving to provide the highest quality provision for our pupils. 

Teaching and Learning is supported by a central team of Subject Directors who are experienced teachers with leadership and mentoring skills who work across our academies supporting teachers in their personal development, data analysis and curriculum planning.  Subject Directors have specific areas of focus such as Mathematics, Science, Reading, Writing and History.

The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust. A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust, this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff and non-qualified teachers.
